Pennsylvania Educational Quality Assessment Attitude Toward School Instrument.
Pennsylvania State Dept. of Education, Harrisburg.
As part of the instrumentation to assess the effectiveness of the Schools Without Failure (SWF) program in 10 elementary schools in the New Castle, Pa. School District, the Pennsylvania Educational Quality Assessment Attitude Toward School instrument was administered in grades 4-6. With over 20,000 grade 5 pupils, this instrument had shown a reliability of .75, and the pretest of the present study also showed .75 for the total of all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. For separate experimental and control groups in each of grades 4-6, reliability coefficients ranged from .57 to .76, with an average of .66 when computed for these smaller groups on the posttest.
