This publication of the Commission on Undergraduate Education in the Biological Sciences contains the final report of activities of the Commission during the years 1963-1972. The Commission was established to narrow the gap between current biological research and undergraduate biology teaching. In keeping with this objective, the report is divided into 19 separate topics. The Commission set up a number of panel groups to study different aspects of undergraduate biology teaching and their major recommendations are listed under separate titles.
