An outline for a nine-week course called "Humanities of Art and Music" is provided. The course is an audio and visual presentation of some of the works of music, art, architectural development and homey philosophy from Caveman through the present day. The course objectives are: (1) to give the student a background of some of the folk songs and music of composers, art and architectural development of Western Civilization; (2) to study art through the media of the basic principles of design; (3) to listen to music and learn what to listen for in music; (4) to study the engineering discoveries that have made it possible for man to have erected the structures he has throughout history; (5) to discuss the philosophies of various groups of people as our civilization has developed; (6) to help the student gain a respect for excellence; and (7) to show the interrelationship of art and music.
