This "Yearbook" is a compilation of 34 articles that represent "state-of-the-art" thought in educational administration as of 1997. The yearbook is organized in accordance with a knowledge-base outline that was developed through repeated surveys of professors of educational administration and practicing administrators. The articles cover the following categories in the outline: the history and philosophy of education, research methods, learning theory, curriculum, student services, administration of special programs, personnel issues, educational management, educational leadership, human relations, systems analysis and design, site-based leadership, school law and policy development, school finance, school public relations, school facilities, and district/community leadership.
