Prepared for teachers of upper elementary and junior high students, this curriculum guide aids in the study of water and its relationship to the environment, serving as a prelude to considering problems of water pollution. The twelve lesson plans are designed as a series of indoor-outdoor-indoor experiences which are utilized to develop one or more concerns for the quality of the environment. Each lesson is planned to build on the learnings of the previous lessons and to foster the measurement and achievement of suggested cognitive and affective behavioral objectives. Procedures for conducting specific learning activities more successfully are described in several of the Teacher's Note sections. Worksheets, evaluation forms, and a bibliography of books and films are included. (BL)
