Validity of Self-Reports in Three Populations of Alcoholics.
Sobell, Linda C.; Sobell, Mark B.
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v46 n5 p901-07 Oct 1978
Examined whether population type and question type differentially affected validity of alcoholics' self-reports. Alcoholics gave highly valid self-reports. Question type differentially affected the validity of subjects' interview answers, as fewer invalid answers were given to demographic questions. Population type did not significantly affect validity of self-reported life history information. (Author/BEF)
