Personal interviews were conducted with ten women in their middle years that were formerly married to wealthy men. An analytic induction analysis method, using principles from social justice theories, crystallized the interpersonal injustices within marriage, as these women experienced them, the stressors of unfair divorce decision procedures, and the unjust resource distributions with loss of assets that were not divided. They experienced the crises of high debts, tax fraud, bankruptcy, and loss of custody; and the traumas of continued litigation for many years without changes granted by appellate or state supreme courts. The women took the standpoint of critical inquiry by providing critique and advocating for changes in legal procedures and judicial considerations.
