Peterson, Erin M.; Luoma, Jason B.; Dunne, Edward
Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, v32 n2 p158-75 Sum 2002
Examines survivors' attitudes and perceptions of the clinicians who treated their loved one at the time of death. The 71 respondents were relatives or friends of individuals who had died of suicide. Only 11% reported that clinicians attempted to contact them before the death. Discusses implications of findings for clinical practice, legal issues, surviving suicide, and future research. (JDM)
