Describes research for doctoral dissertation which divided study of 29 "storyboard books" into 2 parts: one looking at various comic-book traits (dialog balloon, sound effects shown graphically, dividing of page into frames); the other analyzing each title in terms of component parts of drama as set out by Aristotle.
