The study was conducted in order to detect critical thinking dispositions and learning styles of the students of school of physical education and sports, to explore whether there was a significant difference in terms of gender variable and academic department variable and, to discover the correlation between critical thinking tendencies and learning styles of the students. Population of the study composed of 915 students who studied at the School of Physical Education and Sports of Mustafa Kemal University during 2012-2013 academic year. 630 students were selected according to randomized sampling method. California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory and Kolb Learning Style Inventory were used as the data collection tools. It was found out that the students had moderate level of critical thinking disposition, did not have any dominant learning style but used mostly assimilator learning style. Findings of the study revealed that there was a significant difference between gender and academic department variables. While there was no significant difference between learning styles and gender variable, there was a significant difference between learning styles and academic department. It was seen that there were significant correlations between critical thinking tendencies and learning styles of the students.
