Regaining Control Over Information Technology
Goldsborough, Reid
Teacher Librarian, v33 n1 p51 Oct 2005
Living in postindustrial, 21st-century society means being surrounded by the accoutrements of information technology. Information technology is in people's offices, cars and homes. One third of adults do not deal well with information technology, according to the research of Larry Rosen, psychology professor, author, and pundit. Rosen is the Paul Revere of the Information Age, warning individuals about the principal downside of silicon and software, which anyone just might experience sooner or later. In this article, the author provides more discussion on "technostress."
