The field of IT is a service-based field where professionals help others with technical, computer-related issues by supporting organizational goals. Therefore, the field of IT, even unknowingly, practices parts or all aspects of servant leadership. Little research is published on servant leadership models and practices within the field of corporate IT. The research question states, "What is the experience of servant leaders who work in the field of corporate information technology?" The design for the present study was a qualitative design with a transcendental phenomenological methodology utilizing a purposive sampling procedure with a single unstructured interview which sought to understand themes of the phenomenon of the experiences of servant leaders in corporate information technology. The present study wanted to understand the experiences through retrospection of the participants' experiences in being a servant leader in corporate information technology. Twenty potential participants were contacted, ten responded with interest in participating, and eight met the participation criteria. There were 7 males and 1 female participant who ranged in age from 50 to 65, and they had at least a Bachelor's-level degree. The participants represented businesses such as higher education, consulting, services, and manufacturing. Through the process of horizonalization of the participants' individual experiences, the researcher identified common themes among the participants related to the overall experiences of being a servant leader in the field of information technology. There was an overall feeling of humility and reward as the participants explained their experience in being a servant leader in IT.
