This is the final report of the New Nursery School Project, a program for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old educationally disadvantaged children. Objectives of the program are to help children develop a positive self-image, increase sensory and perceptual acuity, improve language skills, form certain concepts essential for later learning, and develop the ability to solve problems. Background information on the 30 children enrolled in the 1968-69 school year is given along with a brief description of the program. Curriculum materials developed and written in connection with the program are attached. The bulk of the document is appended materials. They are divided into three headings: (1) Resources, which includes discussions of and information on: books, a book list, musical activities, fingerplays, manipulative toys, audiovisual aids, outdoor equipment, group time and the content of group time; (2) Organization and Management, which includes discussions of classroom management and control, planning, aides, parents, and volunteers in the clasroom; and (3) Instructional Guides.
