Information regarding the Bush Administration's six national education goals as they apply to personnel/human resource staff is presented in this report. Personnel/human resource staff, who are instrumental in providing effective teachers, will play a major role in achieving the nation's educational goals. Each goal statement is followed by a discussion regarding the relationship of personnel staff to the goal and an identification of specific areas that have implications for personnel-related staff. A conclusion is that personnel administrators' responses to the national goals can be translated into district action plans that require involvement in recruitment, selection, and staff development programs.
