This report describes the RAID classroom management system, which consists of Rules written for each classroom activity, Approval given to those children who are following the classroom rules, Ignoring pupils who are breaking the rules, and Disapproval used when necessary to intolerable behavior. Included in this paper are results of using the RAID system, an analysis of the system to be used as a guide for application, some considerations in applying RAID, and some suggestions for a positive approach to teaching. Six additional suggestions and a 14-item bibliography conclude this paper. (PD)
