Inmates enrolled in a vocational training program in the State Prison of Southern Michigan responded to a questionnaire on prior and current experience with vocational training, attitudes about the benefits of training in general and to individual respondents, and demographic information. Respondents expected a wide variety of benefits, not only rehabilitative. Rehabilitative and custodial criteria for success are discussed. (KS)
