Piper, Angela Michelle
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, The University of West Florida
The current use of UD and the factors that most affect that use were investigated in this study. UD is a term used to describe the design of products to be accessible by all. Instructors, both full and part-time, across the state of Florida were surveyed to determine the current usage of UD in the design of courses as well as the factors that most influence their decision to utilize UD. The results of the study indicated that a large portion of instructors currently utilize UD to at least a moderate extent within the state. The study also indicated that increasing diversity and changing teaching methods were the greatest determining factors in whether UD was currently being utilized.
