The rationale in burnout prevention and intervention is providing employees with variety, flexibility, and personal control within the work situation. Variety results from multiple teaching methods, courses and schedules, sabbaticals and released time for projects, interchanging faculty and administrative role, flex time, job sharing, flexible compensation, and multiple incentive options.
