Two studies (one involving teachers, the other bankers) examined how subordinates perceive their own and their supervisors' use of power strategies or behavior alteration techniques and the resulting subordinates' satisfaction. One result, among others, indicated that subordinates did not see themselves as frequently using power strategies to influence their supervisors. (PD)
