This study examines the use of student learning polls as indicators of student perceptions and influences on career exploration. No Child Left Behind requires schools that fail to make adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years to develop continuous improvement plans. The concept of career preparation for students is included in these plans. The Career Exploration poll was administered via the Internet in four computer labs within the school. The study consisted of 288 respondents from a rural central Alabama high school. The demographic subgroup of gender was analyzed to determine the significance of each variable. Analysis of the data reveal results of the polls and provides insights for continuous improvement plans. The use of student voice allows students to directly impact these plans.
