Title VI-B Evaluation Report 1976-77. New York State Education for the Handicapped Act.

The report summarizes pupil behavioral change data from 176 instructional projects involving handicapped children in New York state. Data are presented for reading achievement, mathematics achievement, and a broad category that encompassed language arts, corrective speech, psychomotor, auditory and visual perceptions, personal hygiene, societal and survival as well as occupational outcomes. Criterion referenced test data are provided in six appendixes for trainable mentally retarded, emotionally disturbed, educable mentally retarded, severely speech impaired, physically handicapped, and multiply handicapped. Five noninstructional projects are also reviewed. (CL)
