The first report details the computer education plans of the school district in Palo Alto (California), where the use of the computer is part of normal school activities in grades K-6, all seventh grade students participate in a computer awareness unit, and students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to enroll for one quarter in a computer studies course. Elective courses are also offered for middle school and high school students. The second report describes the program in Los Angeles (California), where fifth grade students are introduced to computers through the use of the Logo programming language and word processing. Introductory courses are provided for both junior high/intermediate students and high school students as well as advanced level courses. A management plan for introducing computers into public schools is presented in the third report, which is based on a review of the literature and experience in implementing a computer program in the Keene (New Hampshire) district schools. This report also discusses six basic components of the implementation process. THe fourth report presents a tentative 8- to 10-year computer technology plan for the Cincinnati Country Day School in a chart which shows both past and future computer use in the school under the headings of hardware, software, staff development, curriculum, computer science, math, science, history/English, language, and music/art/dance.
