"Bug City" is a video series created to help children learn about insects and other small critters. All aspects of bug life are touched upon including body structure, food, habitat, life cycle, mating habits, camouflage, mutualism (symbiosis), adaptations, social behavior, and more. Each program features dramatic microscopic photography, fun commentary, and bug facts. A teaching guide is also included. The topic of this lesson is aquatic insects and contains information on dragonflies, damselflies, water-striders, backswimmers, and other species. Instructions for creating an aquascope for observing water-dwelling insects are presented. (WRM)
