Investigated presence, co-occurrence, characteristics, and functions of metaphor around judged points of insight in counseling supervision sessions. Used case study methodology to view process of change in supervision sessions. Found both novel and frozen metaphors present in best and lest effective sessions. Only novel metaphors found in best session had significant correlation with segments of interview showing insight. (Author/NB)
