"Re-story-ing" Our Restorative Practices
Rundell, Frida
Reclaiming Children and Youth: The Journal of Strength-based Interventions, v16 n2 p52-59 Sum 2007
A metaphor for crossing a frontier into a new territory is explored. The restorative justice principles as used by the United Nations and the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) help to translate into restorative practice principles. An action research project in South Africa provides the background to an evaluation process. Prevention and early intervention levels invite practitioners to use the restorative principles in their own daily practices. (Contains 1 figure.)
