Pattridge, Gregory C.
Understanding Our Gifted, v21 n2 p14-17 Win 2009
Teachers and parents who read about the brain on the Internet should do so critically to determine fact from opinion. Are the assertions real about certain methods/strategies that claim to be based on brain research? Will they make a difference in their teaching and in achievement levels? Turning theory into fact take time and replication of solid research design. The good news is there are many helpful websites that give teachers some initial answers and help them understand the brain and how it works in the learning process. This article presents some of the best sites along with helpful strategies in working with gifted students both in and out of the classroom.
