Faculty Perceptions of Communication Skills and Needs of Business School Undergraduates in Singapore.
Wharton, Glenn
Business Communication Quarterly, v65 n4 p39-59 Dec 2002
Investigates whether faculty at a large Singapore business school shared similar perceptions of inadequate communication skills as the government. Indicates that the faculty perceived undergraduate communication skills to be in need of improvement, thus lending support to employer and government criticism. Reveals some probable underlying causes of faculty perceptions, including an apparent lack of real commitment to the improvement of such skills. (SG)
