Included are abstracts of 16 research reports which were published in at least one of four periodicals within the first six months of 1968. The abstracts included in this issue have been grouped in four sections. The investigations reported by Schell, Grafft and Ruddell, and Sister Mary G. Schaefer are concerned principally with learning, cognitive outcomes, and curriculum revision in school mathematics programs. The investigations reported by Lehew, Roberts, and Boe are related to characteristics of learners (elementary and secondary school pupils). Investigations reported Fisher, Inskeep, Kane, Reip and Delon, and Reip and Kipps present information on teacher education. The last section includes investigations by Easterday and Easterday, Divene, Pethtel, and Hanna and relate to instructional methods and materials including Tests. Each abstract includes an objective indication of the purpose, rationale, research design and procedure, findings, and interpretations by the investigator. The abstractors of the investigations include comments pertaining to each particular report. (RP)
