This study examines the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of an instructional development project addressing resume writing. The project produced a learning activity package (LAP) that guides ninth-grade students through the steps necessary to write a complete resume. The LAP was organized by the main sections placed in the order that most positively reflects the achievements of a ninth grader. Formative evaluation techniques were used to perfect the LAP. The result was learning material that was successfully used with the target population. The LAP appended to this report contains information in a self-paced programmed format that leads students through the steps of writing a resume, including self-evaluation exercises, fill-in questions, checklists, and pretests and posttests.
