Hawamdeh, Basem; Jaradat, Mohammed H.
Education, v132 n3 p689-696 Spr 2012
The study aims at identifying the extent to which the basics of the "learning organization" (LO) principles are available at Jordanian schools (Pilot TQA schools in Jersah); to this effect, a specially customized questionnaire was developed--it was made of 19 items across three areas: a leadership that supports learning, an environment that is conducive to learning, and methodological learning processes. The sample population was made of all 55 female teachers at the two TQA pilot schools in Jerash, Jordan. The findings of the study show that trace of "learning organization" principles ranked as follows: medium level overall at pilot TQA schools in Jerash, high for having a supportive leadership and enabling environment, and medium for methodological learning processes.
