Marriage Timing of Chinese American and Japanese American Women.
Ferguson, Susan J.
Journal of Family Issues, v16 n3 p314-43 May 1995
Examines the differences in marriage rates and timing among white, Chinese American, and Japanese American women. An accelerated time model estimates the duration until marriage for each racial-ethnic group while controlling for nativity, education, birth cohort, ancestry, and English proficiency. Chinese American and Japanese American women delay first marriage longer than whites and have higher percentages of never-married women. (JPS)
