Wilfrey, Denise E.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v61 n2 p296-305 Apr 1993
Evaluated effectiveness of group cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) and group interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) for binge eating among 56 women with nonpurging bulimia. At posttreatment, both CBT and IPT conditions showed significant improvement in reducing binge eating, compared to waiting-list condition. Binge eating remained significantly below baseline levels for both treatment conditions at six-month and one-year follow-ups. (Author/NB)
