Interlinguistics and the Internet.
Fettes, Mark
Language Problems and Language Planning, v21 n2 p170-76 Sum 1997
Argues that the Internet offers new opportunities for the development, use, and study of planned languages. Notes that while most Web pages on "constructed" languages are the work of individual hobbyists, a few projects have small communities of users. The paper concludes that the use of Esperanto on the Internet reflects increased socialization and presents a domain for sociolinguistic studies. (15 references) (Author/CK)
