This book provides a multitude of strategies that uncover students' greatest strengths and learning styles, while improving literacy skills. It offers activities that are organized according to Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. The book is divided into eight sections, each addressing one of the intelligences identified by Gardner (verbal/linguistic, musical/rhythmic, logical/mathematical, visual/spatial, bodily/kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, naturalist); each section begins with a discussion of the intelligence at hand, followed by a series of activities that promote literacy through the employment of that particular intelligence.
