This document consists of the two 2000 issues of the "Journal of Educational Relations," published twice yearly to promote student achievement through positive school-home-community relationships. The articles in the first issue include: "Behaviors of a Principal Directly Influence a School's Culture" (Douglas J. Fiore) and "Dollars for Scholars Programs Help Raise Achievement Expectations and Funds for Scholarships" (William C. Nelsen). Articles in the second issue include: "Truth in School-Community Relations: 'Fact' or 'Fiction'?" (Mel Heller); "Plug into the Internet To Keep the Community Informed" (David E. Szychlinski); "A Public Relations Calendar for the First-Year Superintendent" (Linda Tabers-Kwak); and "How to Manage Parent-Educator Relations in an Affluent Community" (Bonnie Burns). Each issue also contains a teaching or administrative case study and response, book reviews, and articles in which educators share insights regarding improvements in school-community relations. (KB)
