An Engaging Learning Environment
Krueger, Tom
Mathematics Teaching, n217 p24-25 Mar 2010
The author believes that a stimulating learning environment can offer benefits to the general classroom conduct of young people through the different charts displayed in his classroom. Students see the teacher taking pride in their shared working environment and wall or table graffiti. He mentions that he does not only care for his students' mathematical progress but also about their learning environment. So, for him, it was a logical step to start decorating his classroom. In this article, the author explains in detail these eye-catching displays and what use he gets out of these displays with his pupils. (Contains 8 pictures.)
