Developed to assist vocational agricultural mechanics students in learning to be tractor mechanics, this curriculum guide contains all the student competency sheets which comprise this competency-based curriculum. These competency sheets are categorized under sixteen instructional units. The first two units cover employment opportunities and general skills. The remaining fourteen units include the job competencies involved in servicing and maintaining the following elements: storage battery; ignition circuit; cooling systems; charging circuit; starting circuit; gasoline fuel system; diesel fuel system; basic engines; lubrication system; clutches; hydraulics; powertrain; differentials; and final drive. Each competency sheet provides a performance objective, performance guide, learning activities, supplemental reading, and criterion evaluation. (BM)
