The Influence of Cooperative Problem Solving on Gender Differences in Achievement, Self-Efficacy, and Attitudes toward Mathematics in Gifted Students.
Garduno, Edna Leticia Hernandez
Gifted Child Quarterly, v45 n4 p268-82 Fall 2001
Examination of gender differences in self-efficacy, attitudes toward mathematics, and achievement of 48 gifted 7th and 8th grade students after participating in a 2-week course on probability and statistics found no differences in achievement or self-efficacy between cooperative learning mixed gender or single gender groups. Differences in attitudes toward mathematics were found favoring the whole-group, competitive instructional setting. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
