Furniture Design Decision-Making Constructs.
Thompson, Jo Ann Asher; Davis, Leslie L.
Home Economics Research Journal, v16 n4 p279-90 Jun 1988
This study examined the underlying constructs that influence criteria used to determine furniture design preferences and significant relationships between the self-conceptual personality trait of self-monitoring and furniture preferences. Traditional style was perceived as more aesthetically pleasing and contemporary style as more prestigious by high self-monitors. Country style showed no significant perceptual differences. (JOW)
