Nevin, Ann; Thousand, Jacqueline; Parsons, A. Sandy; Lilly, M. Stephen
Teacher Education Quarterly, v27 n1 p87-108 Win 2000
Assessed the extent to which special education teacher education program graduates applied instructional methods they had learned to the classroom. Survey, observation, and interview data highlighted seven themes: commitment to student success; strategies for successfully teaching all students; knowledge of legal supports; active searching for mentoring; active participation in professional development; perspective, perseverance, and balance; and advice for improving preservice programs.
