The report describes a demonstration project to provide a course of study at the senior high level in home health management for the academically handicapped. The course consisted of practice in nursing skills, home management and laboratory work in food preparation techniques, the family, and child care. Activities included field trips, demonstrations, discussion groups, and audiovisual activities. Although no formal evaluation was made, course effectiveness was measured by postsecondary education aspirations, increase in self-concept and work attitudes, examinations, dropout rate, behavior change, and employers' comments. Supplementary materials include a student profile, family information and parent questionnaires, course outline, sample lesson and quiz, and teacher rating form. An eight-page bibliography of instructional resources completes the document. (NJ)
