This manual provides information needed to meet specific standards for certification as a pesticide applicator. The first section discusses general and household pest control and is concerned with parasitic pests and man, stored product pests, and irritating vertebrates. Section two is devoted to identifying and controlling structural pests such as termites, beetles and carpenter ants. Food industry pest control is the topic of section three and deals with control and treatment for pests in storage, processing and packaging areas. The last section is concerned with community insect control, especially flies and mosquitoes, and discusses their life cycles, habits, and public health importance. (CS)
