Recruiter-Applicant Differences in Perceptions of Extrinsic Rewards.
David, Kermit R., Jr.; And Others
Journal of Employment Counseling, v28 n3 p82-90 Sep 1991
Examined how accurate recruiters would be in estimating relative preferences of college seniors for important category of extrinsic rewards. Compared preferences of 602 graduating college seniors for 11 extrinsic rewards with preference estimates of 486 recruiters. Recruiters underestimated importance of medical and life insurance, pension plans, and stock ownership, and overestimated importance of beginning salary and four-day work week. (Author/NB)
