Safety First: Preventing Allergic Reactions
Roy, Ken
Science and Children, v53 n4 p27-29 Dec 2015
All elementary teachers should be aware of their students' allergies especially when they are planning to use plants or animals in the classroom or interacting with them in the field. This knowledge is essential because allergy symptoms can range from an itchy rash to anaphylactic shock. This column shares safety information for the science classroom. This month's issue discusses the importance of being aware of (and prepared for) the different types of allergy symptoms.
