This issue of the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) newsletter is entitled "Progress Report" and includes articles on the BSCS program, "The Life of a Curriculum Study" by Wm. V. Mayer; a brief report on the sixth-grade trials of the BSCS Human Sciences Program; a discussion of minicourses, with emphasis on cooperative efforts of Dr. S. N. Postlethwait and BSCS; a brief description of the BSCS module, "Investigating Your Environment"; and reports on the BSCS programs for the educable mentally handicapped and for elementary school science students. Also included in this issue are a brief discussion of international adaptations of BSCS materials, photographs of BSCS staff members, as well as biographical profiles of nine new BSCS staff members.
