The student manual in this two-part instructional kit contains basic concepts and specific information needed for understanding anatomy and physiology, with emphasis on those areas of particular interest to health occupations students. The student manual is organized in 10 lessons, each containing objectives, new terms and definitions, technical information illustrated with line drawings, review questions, and suggested activities. The lessons cover the following topics: the organization and general plan of the body, the skeletal system, the muscular system, the digestive system, the blood and cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the nervous system and special senses, the urinary system, the reproductive system, the endocrine system, and the endocrine glands. A bibliography is included in the manual. The instructor's guide is coordinated with the manual and provides a competencies progress chart, teaching objectives, review questions with answers, unit tests and answers, and suggested activities (either group or individual) with answers. The guide is organized into 10 units corresponding to the 10 lessons of the manual, and line drawing illustrations are also used. (KC)
