Quebec Studies: A Guide to Reference Sources.
Ludgate, Georgia, Comp.
This annotated bibliography compiles a variety of bibliographies and reference tools in the McGill University Library System (Montreal, Quebec) that are useful for research on Quebec, and its emphasis is on the sociological and political aspects of Quebec life and culture. The bibliography is presented in two parts that include reference sources and bibliography. Reference sources include encyclopedias, yearbooks, biographies, and directories. The bibliography section is divided into four parts: (1) bibliographical guides; (2) newspapers and periodicals; (3) general bibliographical sources; and (4) subject bibliographies that cover history, economics, social life, politics, language, culture, religion, urban and regional development, regional studies, native groups, immigration, ethnic groups, and women. Although some titles are in French, all annotations are in English. (DJC)
