This article features the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) Sustainable Development Programme, a two-week course designed for university students from a wide variety of disciplines, with an interest in sustainability and cross-cultural studies. The two-week programme provides cross-disciplinary understanding and practical experience of development approaches that deal effectively with several interconnected challenges of the developing world: rapid development, poverty, loss of biodiversity and the need to find alternatives to a carbon-based economy. The programme is offered under the guidance of a skilled and experienced faculty drawn from leading thinkers and practitioners in the area of sustainability.
