Creatine Loading, Resistance Exercise Performance, and Muscle Mechanics.
Stevenson, Scott W.; Dudley, Gary A.
Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, v15 n4 p413-19 Nov 2001
Examined whether creatine (CR) monohydrate loading would alter resistance exercise performance, isometric strength, or in vivo contractile properties of the quadriceps femoris muscle compared with placebo loading in resistance-trained athletes. Overall, CR loading did not provide an ergogenic benefit for the unilateral dynamic knee extension exercises or for electromyostimulation- evoked isometric actions of the knee extensor muscle group.
