Are ADHD Symptoms Associated with Delay Aversion or Choice Impulsivity? A General Population Study
Paloyelis, Yannis; Asherson, Philip; Kuntsi, Jonna
Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, v48 n8 p837 Aug 2009
The relationship of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with choice impulsivity is examined. Findings were found to indicate that primary constitutional processes that underlie choice impulsivity and their potential role in behavioral inattention are important. It was also found that behavioral and brain processes that underlie choice impulsivity can lead to improved targeting of interventions.
